All vehicles must have an appointment, and the engine must be at our shop for a week minimum before the swap can be done. You have the option of having an engine of your choosing delivered to our shop, or we can acquire one for you. Local yards charge anywhere between $600-$1200 for an engine with an average of between 20k and 45k. We like to choose engines that have less than 30k miles on them, however lower miles mean higher prices.

Required parts need to do the swap are $250. The parts include: new timing belt, timing belt tensioner and idler pulleys, new water pump, all the fluids needed, oil filter, and the gaskets and sealants.

Labor charge for the swap is set at $600

Since the 3.0L runs lean in the higher RPM range using the stock fuel injectors, Disturbing Motorsports highly recommends upgrading your vehicles stock fuel injectors with 210cc stock replacement units. These fuel injectors can be purchased from Disturbing Motorsports and installed during the 3.0L swap for no additional labor charge.

We prefer to do this swap over a weekend, which consists of you dropping your vehicle off at Disturbing Motorsports on Friday and picking it up Sunday afternoon. After the swap is completed, one of our qualified technicians will test drive your vehicle for approximately 50 miles minimum to insure everything is working properly. Any extra work done may require an extra day, so be sure to discuss this with one of us when you call to make your appointment.

*All vehicles will have any current codes (check engine light) read and documented and the owner will be notified before any work is performed. Disturbing Motorsports can repair most of the problems at our standard labor rate in addition to the swap labor*

Disturbing Motorsports makes every attempt to secure quality engines, however there is always a chance that an engine will be damaged internally. Your vehicle will not leave in this condition, however internal damage is beyond our control. We are NOT responsible for your lost time from work/school/etc. while your car is here at our shop. We make every possible attempt to get you home with what you are paying for in a reasonable time frame, but ask that you always have a "Plan B" just in case something happens that would add to the time we have your vehicle.
